Avery Lewis, born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, began dancing at the age of two. Trained in all major styles of dance, she has traveled nationwide as both a competition and convention dancer. In 2019, she was the youngest dancer selected to join Lacey Schwimmer’s ballroom group Femme Forte, which was invited to audition for NBC’s World of Dance. Avery is not only an accomplished performer, but also an emerging choreographer. She has choreographed numerous competitive routines and worked with dancers of all ages. A recent graduate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, she was a member of the Husker Scarlets Dance Team and competed at UDA Nationals for three consecutive years. In 2024, Avery was a Senior Crew Lead at Celebrity Conventions, assisting faculty, helping behind the scenes, and mentoring young dancers with positivity and leadership. She continues to build her reputation as a dynamic choreographer. Through her work with Celebrity Dance Competitions and Conventions, Avery has taught, mentored, and choreographed for thousands of dancers across the country. She has served as a choreographer for Celebrity DanceDown, Star Awards, and Celebrity Nationals, working closely with both Junior and Senior Crew dancers. This year, Avery is taking her love for performance and teamwork to new heights—she’s thrilled to join the NBA as an official Phoenix Suns Dancer. With this exciting new chapter, she continues to elevate her artistry, both on the court and in the in the class dance rooms. Avery’s dedication, experience, and passion for dance continue to shape her evolving career as a teacher, choreographer, and artist. She’s beyond excited to be a part of Team Celebrity this season and to inspire and connect with young dancers throughout the experience!
