Celebrity Dance Competitions is excited to have Makena Lynne part of faculty! Born in California, Makena embarked on her dance journey at the age of three, showcasing proficiency in all styles. At the age of five, she started competing which led her to win numerous awards, scholarships, and titles. Makena was a member of the Celebrity Senior Crew, assisting at Celebrity Convention and performing in Nationals at Sea in 2017. Now, based in Houston, Texas, Makena is living her dream as an NBA dancer for the 3rd season. Notably, she had the honor of representing the NBA in the Philippines for the NBA 3X tournament in March of 2023, marking another milestone in her dance career. Her creative touch extends to the NBA, where she has crafted several pieces of choreography throughout her three years being on the team. Beyond performing, Makena shares her passion for dance by teaching at various dance intensives, high schools, and dance studios. Makena just wrap up Celebrity Regionals & Nationals and cannot wait to dance with you at Conventions this fall!
