Celebrity aims to create the safest environment possible for all dancers, their families, studio owners and staff as well as our own Celebrity Team. We have implemented a few new programs at Celebrity to help keep this possible. From training with Danscend to understanding the mission of what we do, Celebrity is prepared to make sure everyone is treated like the Celebrity they are!
As the world moves forward at a rapid pace and technology allows us the ability to raise awareness on issues, events and experiences it’s easy to become… afraid. Afraid of the unknown, afraid of possibilities, and eventually afraid of living. If this is you, please know that you are not alone and true life lies on the other side of our deepest fears. Celebrity is proud to partner with AMDA! AMDA joins us at Celebrity Events awarding scholarships to dance and train at both of their college campuses, NY & LA! Join us at a Celebrity Event this season to take part in this amazing opportunity!
The intention behind this concept is to awaken and inspire the dreamer within while introducing the vibrance of color to an often monochromatic world. Illustrating that no dream is too big or unattainable, The Rhythm Section explores the theme that we possess the innate power to change our perceived reality by simply allowing ourselves to dream. The Rhythm Section follows the journey of our hero dancer and her fellow castmates as she is awakened from a dreary, monotonous world and transported to one that is vibrant, enlivening, and empowering. In this realm, with the help of her friends, she manifests her greatest dream. The world is colorful, pulsating, lively with rhythm, and full of possibility. It is here that our star discovers her truest self and inspires others to do the same through rhythm and dance. The ultimate objective is to transport the audience and the performers from an everyday mindset to a captivating place of inspiration and endless possibility. A little over a year ago, all of our lives were about to change and we didn’t even realize it. Since then, we have faced the unimaginable and overcome the insurmountable together. The simple things we once took for granted are experienced with a renewed appreciation. The unimportant things that don’t really matter no longer burden us as they once did. Our perspectives changed and we found hope in places we never knew existed. With all we’ve learned and all we’ve endured together… we look forward to the day we can return together.

This summer, 35 Celebrity Crew Members, 15 Celebrity Faculty Members, 3 Celebrity Paparazzi Team Members, some of Team Celebrity and 2 Celebrity Directors joined together to dance, move, and inspire each other. We grew in our art and as humans. Check out the fun we had together at the 2020 Celebrity Crew Intensive. We’re ready for Celebrity Conventions this fall and we can’t wait to see you there!

Enhancements and adjustments have been made to Celebrity Events to keep the Celebrity Experience, while providing the safest environment possible. A national competition for studios, broadcast right into your home! Registration for this event is open to all studios. Upload a video from competition or that you took in the studio during rehearsals. Competition will take place June 3-5 and on Saturday, June 6 the overall routines will go head to head in our Celebrity LIVE Event. Check out the details and join us for Celebrity LIVE!
ENTRY FEES: Solos $30 per routine // Duo & Trios $35 per routine // Groups $7 per dancer. If you wish to use funds that are on your Celebrity Account from a postponed event, please contact the Celebrity Offices at 480.706.8888 to transfer monies.
CRITIQUES: Competition scores and routine critiques will be available in your online account 3 days after the event. By entering Celebrity Competitions, you accept that all decisions by judges are final.
AWARDS: All entries will be adjudicated by three judges. Platinum, high gold, gold, silver and bronze awards will be presented. Trophies and medals will be mailed to the studio address on your Celebrity Online Account. Other prizes and scholarships will be awarded based on outstanding talent.
ACROBATICS: Ballet routines may not have any gymnastic or acrobatic tricks. Jazz, Tap and Lyrical/Contemporary routines may have two acrobatic tricks. All other categories may have unlimited acrobatic tricks. A pass into an acro trick qualifies as one acro movement. Example: round off back handspring. Lifts, illusions and shoulder rolls are NOT considered acrobatic tricks. Acrobatic tricks are defined as a movement learned in an acrobatic class such as cartwheel, forward roll, etc. Routines with more than two acrobatic tricks will be placed in the Open category.
VIDEOS: All videos need to be uploaded by Friday, May 22. Please log in to your Celebrity Online Account to upload or complete this during the registration process.
TIES: All ties will be broken by technical score. If there is a tie by technical score, ties will be broken by routine score. If there should be a tie on routine score, the tie will be broken by decision of the judges.
DANCEDOWN: To help our Celebrity Dancers grow in the industry we invite all our participants to join us for The Celebrity DanceDown. This master class doubles as an audition so dancers can show our Celebrity Judges who they really are. Participants will learn a high energy routine via video. They will then upload a performance video for our judges to view. The Celebrity Judges will watch all videos looking for the brightest stars! From our entries we will select the top 3 mini, junior and senior winners. Dancers also have the opportunity to be awarded a variety of prizes and scholarships from our Celebrity Sponsors. The Celebrity LIVE DanceDown is only $12 for all age levels. Sign up and choreography will begin Wednesday, June 3. Check back here for more details.

By registering, attending, viewing or participating in a Celebrity Event or entering the venue, you acknowledge full responsibility and forever release and discharge Celebrity Competitions, Celebrity Dance Competitions, Celebrity Nationals at Sea, Celebrity Travel, Celebrity Conventions, Celebrity Dance Conventions, Celebrity Europe, its faculty, staff members, associates, and all venues, hotels and theatres from any and all contracts, claims, suits, actions, and liabilities arising from or relating to injuries, accidents or damages from participating in or viewing this event. If injury occurs, you understand that Celebrity Competitions, Celebrity Dance Competitions, Celebrity Nationals at Sea, Celebrity Travel, Celebrity Conventions, Celebrity Dance Conventions, Celebrity Europe, all venues, hotels and theatres and the staff of Celebrity Dance Competitions are NOT financially responsible and will NOT offer any reimbursement. By registering, attending, viewing or participating in a Celebrity Event or entering the venue, you release all liability and agree with all policies set by Celebrity Dance Competitions, Celebrity Dance Conventions and CREATE. By registering, attending, viewing or participating in a Celebrity Event, it is agreed that your own insurance policy will be the only source of any reimbursement in the event of injury or any other instance.
